Grantops Consulting Ltd — Last Updated: February 2026
These terms of service ("Terms") govern all services provided by Grantops Consulting Ltd, a company registered in Scotland ("we", "us", "our") to you ("the Client"). By making a payment for any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
1. Website Design & Build Services
1.1 What's Included
Each website build project includes the deliverables agreed upon prior to commencement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a standard website build includes:
- Custom WordPress website design and development
- Mobile-responsive layout
- Basic SEO setup (meta tags, heading structure, site architecture)
- Contact form integration
- Social media links
- An agreed number of pages as specified in your quote
- A training walkthrough on how to manage your content
1.2 What's Not Included
Unless explicitly included in your quote, the following are not covered:
- E-commerce functionality
- Ongoing content writing or copywriting
- Professional photography or videography
- Stock image licensing beyond any included in the quote
- Third-party plugin or service subscriptions
- Search engine advertising or paid marketing campaigns
- Social media management
- Additional pages or functionality beyond the agreed scope
1.3 Client Responsibilities
To allow us to deliver your project on time, you agree to provide:
- All required content (text, images, logos, branding assets) in a timely manner
- Feedback on drafts within a reasonable timeframe
- Access to your domain registrar and any other relevant accounts as needed
- A nominated point of contact for project communications
Delays caused by late or incomplete content from the Client may result in a revised delivery timeline.
1.4 Revisions
Each project includes up to two rounds of revisions following the initial draft. A revision round is defined as a single set of consolidated feedback. Additional revision rounds beyond this allowance may be quoted and charged separately.
1.5 Payment Terms
A 50% deposit is required before work commences. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion, before the website is made live on your domain. Payments are made via Stripe. All prices are quoted in GBP (£). Work will not begin until the deposit payment has been received.
1.6 Project Timeline
We will provide an estimated delivery timeline at the start of the project. While we make every reasonable effort to meet agreed timescales, timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. We will keep you informed of any expected delays.
1.7 Cancellation
- If you cancel before work has begun, your deposit will be refunded in full.
- If you cancel after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable, as it covers time and resources already committed to the project.
- If we are unable to complete the project for any reason, we will refund any payments for work not yet delivered.
1.8 Ownership & Intellectual Property
- All content you provide (text, images, logos) remains your property.
- Upon receipt of full payment, you own the completed website and its content.
- We reserve the right to display the completed project in our portfolio and reference it in marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.
- Any third-party themes, plugins, or tools used remain subject to their own respective licences.
2. Managed WordPress Hosting
2.1 Service Overview
Our managed hosting plans provide secure, reliable WordPress hosting on enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure. The specific features included depend on your chosen plan as outlined on our hosting page at the time of purchase.
2.2 Starter Managed Hosting (£20/month) Includes
- Managed cloud hosting on AWS
- Essential firewall and security protection (Cloudflare)
- SSL certificate (HTTPS)
- 20GB storage
- Daily automated backups
- One business email account
- Small content updates (see Section 2.3)
2.3 Content Updates
The Starter plan includes minor content updates such as changing text, swapping images, or small adjustments to existing pages. This is limited to approximately 30 minutes of work per calendar month.
Larger changes — including new pages, design changes, additional features, or structural modifications — fall outside this allowance and will be quoted separately. Unused update time does not roll over between months.
2.4 Payment & Billing
Hosting is billed monthly via recurring Stripe subscription. Your subscription begins on the date your website goes live or on the date agreed in writing. Payments are taken automatically each month. It is your responsibility to ensure your payment method remains valid and up to date.
2.5 Service Availability
We aim to maintain maximum uptime for all hosted websites. However, we do not guarantee 100% availability. Occasional downtime may occur due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss of business, revenue, or data arising from website downtime.
2.6 Backups & Data
We perform daily automated backups as part of your hosting plan. While we take reasonable care to maintain these backups, we strongly recommend you also keep your own copies of any critical content. We are not liable for data loss in the event of a backup failure.
2.7 Cancellation & Termination
- You may cancel your hosting plan at any time by giving 30 days' written notice (email is acceptable).
- Upon cancellation, we will provide you with a full export of your website files and database so you can migrate to another provider.
- If your payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days, we reserve the right to suspend hosting. If not resolved within 30 days, we may terminate the service and remove website files from our servers, though we will make reasonable efforts to contact you before doing so.
3. General Terms
3.1 Limitation of Liability
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunity.
3.2 Third-Party Services
Your website may rely on third-party services (domain registrars, email providers, plugins, payment processors, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or terms of any third-party service.
3.3 Confidentiality
We will treat all information you provide as confidential and will not share it with third parties, except where necessary to deliver the agreed services (for example, setting up your domain or email).
3.4 Communication
Our primary communication channels are email and WhatsApp. We aim to respond to all queries within 2 business days. Support is provided during standard UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm).
3.5 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes that materially affect your rights, we will notify you in writing. Continued use of our services after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
3.6 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
